DMCA & Copyright Policy

Last updated: February 13, 2026

UnlockAndLook ("Platform", "we", "us") respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects all users to do the same. We comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA") and respond to proper notices of alleged copyright infringement.

1. Platform Role

UnlockAndLook operates as an intermediary platform that enables creators to sell digital content to buyers. We do not create, curate, or pre-screen user-uploaded content. Under the DMCA safe harbor provisions (17 U.S.C. §512), we are not liable for copyright infringement by our users, provided we comply with the DMCA notice and takedown procedures outlined below.

2. Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe that content hosted on our Platform infringes your copyright, you may submit a written DMCA takedown notice to our designated agent. Your notice must contain all of the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work(s) claimed to have been infringed
  3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with sufficient information to allow us to locate it on the Platform (e.g., URL)
  4. Your contact information, including your name, address, telephone number, and email address
  5. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf

Important: Knowingly submitting a false DMCA notice may result in liability for damages, including costs and attorney's fees, under 17 U.S.C. §512(f).

3. Counter-Notification

If your content was removed due to a DMCA notice and you believe this was in error or that you have authorization to use the material, you may file a counter-notification containing:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and the location at which it appeared before removal
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district

Upon receiving a valid counter-notification, we will forward it to the original complainant. If the complainant does not file a court action within 10 business days, we may restore the removed content.

4. Repeat Infringers

We maintain a policy of terminating the accounts of users who are repeat copyright infringers. A user who receives two or more valid DMCA notices may have their account permanently terminated at our sole discretion, with all associated funds subject to forfeiture.
